We are delivering a new Student Portal in December 2019.
The Student Portal provides a personalised experience – giving the user the right information when they need it and how they need it. The portal is the centre-point of student information at Charles Sturt University.
The upgrade to the Student Portal is a vital activity for the university. It aims to provide an engaging and seamless experience, in-line with our Future Students Hub and the University Brand.
The Student Portal development supports the University Strategy 2022 – Our Students strategic focus area.
Key improvements include:
- simplified navigation
- increased use of single sign-on authentication
- increased integration of student-facing web applications
- improved personalisation
- updated content
- extension of Web Analytics across the portal
- provision of a public-facing version of the portal, including the review of current public-facing sites
- latest web technologies
The project team has engaged with stakeholders during the discovery phase and is now progressing into the build phase. This is an agile project, so the team remains responsive to user needs and will continue to engage with stakeholders throughout.
