Student Portal in 2020

Our Student Portal has become more important than ever as our students moved to online learning.

With the move to online delivery of courses and the management of the pandemic response, visits to Student Portal increased by nearly 20%.

We have been releasing updates to the Portal that improve the efficiency of student interactions and improve the performance of our integrations with Library services, as well as address some edge case issues with student’s subject enrolments.

We have recently rolled out our Dynamics365 CRM integration pieces, supporting the new CRM and it’s adjunct CRM Portal (for forms) with tight integration into the Student Portal.

Forms that function with, and automatically submit to Dynamics, have streamlined 12 processes previously involving web forms or PDFs sent to email addresses.

CafeX chat integration is a huge win for students. The ability for Student Central to have a chat attached to the student’s D365 record automatically, and for the student to share their screen via the browser means we can support our students more effectively.

Student Portal now also works with TimeTrade for appointment bookings and Cvent for event management.

The second half of 2020 will see the consolidation of Accommodation and Graduations into the Student Portal, further leveraging the ethos of Student Portal being the singular site for our students.
