Everyone at Charles Sturt University has a responsibility to protect information assets. To assist with endeavour, the ELMO Information Security Awareness module has been updated. This module will equip you with knowledge to help in the defence of our information assets.
The updated ELMO module outlines
- Top cyber security threats at Charles Sturt University
- Our commitment to information security
- Your responsibilities for information security
- Secure work practices you must adopt to reduce the risk of cyber incidents
There is also information on data breaches and the Notifiable Data Breach (NDB) scheme. The university must inform the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner of any eligible data breaches. This includes breaches to our system and individuals who may suffer serious harm as a result.
The module highlights requirements of all university staff. Report actual or suspected breaches to the IT Service Desk immediately.
All staff and contractors accessing:
- Charles Sturt University network, or
- Information assets
must complete the Information Security Awareness module every 12 months. If you feel you need a refresher before then you are welcome to enrol yourself in the module at any time. The Information Security Awareness ELMO module takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. Access this module through the CSU eLearning System.
