The Whistleblower Service and Complaint Management System is now live. This system is designed to aid staff, students, and the community by providing better complaint management. Charles Sturt University relies on everyone to play their part in professional handling complaints. This includes:
- Understanding the complaints management system
- Effectively managing complaints
- Ensuring compliance with policy and procedure
After referring to the Complaints and Wrongdoing policy, complaints can be made via the Complaints, Grievances, and Whistleblowing webpage. The complaints management is externally hosted. The website details the new phone number and portal for complaints.
Complaints can be made anonymously via phone and the new portal. To communicate anonymously with the University about a complaint, you can set a password associated with the complaint number in the portal. No other identifying information is used or stored. This allows the University to contact you, should further information be required for investigation.
The service also provides trained Nominated Disclosure Officers (NDOs) who can provide more information about the process. You may also choose to have a trusted advocate, or a family member assist you with the process. This project serves as a part of the University’s commitment to provide a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for work, study, and research. We welcome complaints as a tool for continued improvement and are committed to dealing with complaints fairly and in a timely manner.
