Student Portal’s evolution and growth continued on throughout 2020. In the second half of the year, we delivered several key technical features like the SPAPI upgrade and quality releases that addressed some edge cases with student enrolments, grades and transcripts.
Our primary deliverables were student experience-oriented features :
- Seasonal Checkpoints – a visual course progression feature that highlights to a student where they are within their study journey. From Orientation to Census to Course work to Assignments & Exams, we now provide a clear and concise indicator to students of their journey with Charles Sturt
- Integration of Microsoft Dynamics365 forms in to Student Portal – providing students an as seamless as possible experience when submitting and reviewing forms that work with Dynamics365
- Integration of Appointment bookings in to Student Portal – leverage TimeTrade to deliver a simplified but more usable experience with which to book and manage appointments with support teams
We also extended Student Portal to work with USI, Student Representative Council elections and better fulfil the needs of students attending Orientation events.
