Impacting the Community

RED Award winners, the CRM team, donated kitty litter to the S.M.A.R.T. Animal Sanctuary late last year. But that was only half the story.

100% of the team supported the idea of donating the RED Award money to charity. As well as supporting animals in need, the team donated to the Albury Wodonga Regional FoodShare. The charity reports 24,000 people in the region living in poverty. Over 5,000 of these people are children. December 2020 was a particularly high demand month for FoodShare. The donation from the CRM team was happily received to help distribute hampers across the region.

FoodShare has been working in the region since 2011. Their aim is to, “Maximise the volume and nutritional quality of food for local people in need.” Today, over 70 suppliers provide one million kilograms of food per year. The equates to 1.55 million meals provided to ensure no one goes hungry. The CRM team’s giving spirit has filled hearts and stomachs in the Albury-Wodonga region.

Congratulations once again to the CRM team for winning the RED Excellence award. And thank you for continuing to embody Charles Sturt University values within the community.
