One of the key enabling projects that the Web Office has been working on this year ‘behind the scenes’ has been the development of a CSU Web Design System.
Essentially, this is a library of all the pieces that go together to make CSU websites, including the styles, layouts and content components.
Having a library like this means that we can design, build and deploy high quality, consistent CSU-branded websites in a much shorter time.
For website editors, if your site is built using our Design System, you can edit your site with just a few clicks. You can add, remove and change components such as cards and columns to create your page layout. You can also edit your text without having to understand code. This means you can focus on what you know best – your content.
Our CSU Web Design System is a work-in-progress, but we wanted to end a massive 2018 by publishing where we are up to. There will be much more to come in 2019!
