CSU News

The CSU Media Office and CSU Web Office launched a new CSU News website on Monday 11 March 2019.

The new website is the product of several months of close partnership between the teams to deliver a site with a modern, editorial look and feel, improved functionality and a clear, easy-to-navigate design for users. The site also has advanced development features ‘under the hood’ – saving the CSU Media team up to 30 mins every time they upload a news story!

The site was developed using the standard Web Office processes including a Discovery phase that included conducting competitor analysis and stakeholder interviews, generating wire-frames and visual designs, and user testing.

The Agile methodology and approach allowed for showcases of the build along the way that helped the teams make decisions on development quickly and easily.

The Development activity included building a custom article builder with a tailored workflow and an improved image uploader, to enable the Media team to publish stories quickly and easily.

Other new and improved features of the site include:

  • Increased use of rich media with Video and Podcast areas
  • Find an expert features on the homepage and data integration with CSU Research Output
  • Tailored website search
  • Share content functionality
  • Migration of many years of content from previous site
