Staff Service Centre Migration Project

The Staff Service Centre Migration Project is focused on implementing the Staff Service Centre in HR (Systems, Recruitment, HR Service Centre and Business Partners); Finance (Systems, Insurance); Domestic Travel and the Division of Learning and Teaching (DLT) for their service request management.

By making use of the Staff Service Centre (Cherwell), we are leveraging a system we already have in place at Charles Sturt and that staff are familiar with when requesting services.

The Staff Service Centre helps set us up for the future and as a university, work towards building a consistent service experience across business units. Additional benefits include:

  • Improved reporting and analytics
  • Optimised workflow and automation of tasks
  • Improved visibility of tasks and performance

What have we achieved?

The Division of Information Technology (DIT) have been working closely with HR, Finance, Domestic Travel and DLT in conjunction with our vendor (Service Quality) to gather requirements and develop work plans to move these business units into the system across 2019 and 2020.

Domestic Travel has been selected as the first business unit we’ll be migrating with work commencing on 2 September.

Where to next?

As work begins with Domestic Travel, we’ll continue to work closely with the team and Service Quality. Timing for implementation across the remaining business units will also be scheduled with any required pre-work to begin.

The project team thanks staff for their involvement so far and is excited to get on with the job at hand.

If you have any questions about the project, please contact Kiah Ryan for further information.
